2020 Jean-Pierre Robinot Les Vignes de l'Ange L'Iris, Loire, Vin de France Ashes and Diamonds Grape: ChardonnayChenin Blanc from their oldest vines, which are over ninety years of age. This was pressed straight to barrel and spent eighteen months in levage, rendering a wine of rare complexity. Reflecting the vintage, this is a little tighter wound than previous years, displaying pristine fruit and real elegance. A wine of impeccable balance and poise, it should unfurl beautifully as time goes on.
