Mime and the Wanderer Size:S: 60 x 45cm Species of fish and a'Mime and the Wanderer', 1924. Illustration from Siegfried and the Twilight of the Gods. The dwarf Mime tries to reforge the sword, Nothung, Wotan comes to him in disguise as the Wanderer and offers his head if he cannot answer three riddles. He answers correctly but Mime does not. Wotan spares his head and prophesises about Siegfried. From a private collection.
