The new Blackfriars Bridge was designed by Joseph cubitt and opened in 1869
surmounted by a statue of the captain next to a cannon and an angel
South and east sides of the Church of St Bartholomew-the-Less
who is sent to sea in the hope that discipline on board ship will reform him
taken from an orignal painting in Vauxhall Gardens
